THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ENSURE THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF STUDENT AND INSTRUCTION.  THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL WALK IN SCHOOL.

ENROLLMENT CAN TAKE UP TO ONE YEAR

SOMETIMES LONGER...

THIS PROCESS WEEDS OUT THE WEAK

ONE ADDITIONAL YEAR OF TRAINING & TESTING IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED A STUDENT... IF YOU PASS!

IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO JUST CUT A CHECK AND HEAR HOW GOOD YOU ARE DOING, SEEK TRAINING ELSEWHERE. THIS SCHOOL IS FOR THE MOST SERIOUS PRACTITIONER, NOT THE WEAK WHO NEED CONSTANT POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT.

STEP 1.

The first step is to mail a brief bio including:

*training history

*experience

*reason for seeking training

*schools you have trained at

*schools or association currently part of

*fitness level

your letter will be reviewed to determine if you are eligible to train at our school.  This is not a walk in public school, you must sell yourself & PROVE YOUR COMMITTMENT . Enrollment is very selective.  Your letter shows who you are, your attention to detail, and ability to follow instruction.

If your letter was acceptable you will receive a reply directing you to move on to the next step.

 STEP 2

The second step is sending an email or calling.  This is your opportunity to ask questions.  Once we have established what type of training you require, we will discuss the protocol associated with your path  and the possibility of your acceptance.

If everything sounds good, we will set up an interview.  The interview will explain in greater detail what is expected of you and afford you another opportunity to ask questions and reaffirm your path.  This still does not make you a student. You still have a long way to go.

STEP 3

If you make it this far, you should be on your way.  Before you ever get to a class you will be required to read a book to prepare your mind for training. You will be given 2 weeks to complete the book and discuss it at length.

DISCUSSION WILL BE CHAPTER BY CHAPTER

This step shows how your mind works -

are you open to new ideas or do you just take what you want from it?  It will expose many things about you.  It is not a high school book report.  Almost everyone fails this step!

STEP 4

Next you will be required to learn the basic Japanese terms used in class {about 50} to ensure you will understand commands.  You will also be required to know in detail our areas of study in Japanese and English word for word, including subcategories {which can be like paragraphs for one answer. You must know the material word for word or the entire section is wrong.  If you fail here, you will have

a lot of writing-read on}

You must know what you are studying.

Once given the test material you will have one week to study and take the test. It usually takes a good student about one hour to complete the test. No multiple choices, just a blank piece of paper for you to write on- you just have to know it.

Any terms or areas of study you fail will be written 100x each and handed in the next day.  If you fail at this you will terminate your possibility of enrollment. You will take the test as many times as needed to get 100%.  Only after you prove your knowledge will you be considered to attend your first class.

Tests will be given at random times.  You must know this material for ever and build on it.  This is not college, you can't forget it after the test.  Each time you fail anything, whether a written test or just giving the wrong answer in class, you will be required to write the term and complete definition 100x.{heaven help you if you miss an area of study, that's an average of 4 thousand words- everything 100x}  It will be handed in the next day.  If you fail to hand in your assignment by 12:am the following day,

YOU WILL BE TERMINATED!!!

Many times a student is dismissed after years of training because of lack of study.  They miss a question or definition, and become complacent- they get weak and fail to hand in the terms on time.

Training requires sacrifice. If you can't put this first and commit to it, seek training somewhere else where you can buy your acceptance and success.

STEP 5

Your final step in being considered for class, assuming you make it this far and do not fail at your tasks or show too much weakness by whining and using excuses for failing like marriage or work, will be to visit 3 other schools.  These 3 schools should be of your choice.  They should be the schools that interest you the most.  The ones that you would go to if you were denied membership here.  The purpose of this is to ensure you are 100% committed to this school.  Once you are a member, interaction with other schools or students is

STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND GROUND FOR DISMISSAL.

After visiting these school another interview will be set up to discuss the pros and cons of what you saw and how you felt about each school and the training they provide.  You should be where you are most comfortable and will achieve your goals the best for you.  This school is not an easy place to survive.  This process ensures that selected students have a high chance of successful training.   It is not uncommon for a prospective student to make it this far and be turned away for their own good.  Many times a student wants to commit but we see weakness the student is not aware of.

WHILE EVERY OTHER SCHOOL IS CONCERNED WITH QUANTITY WE ARE ONLY CONCERNED WITH QUALITY,

CLASSES ARE SMALL,  OVERHEAD LOW-

NO ONE NEEDS YOUR MONEY OR YOU

The number one concern is the student,

not the money.

STEP 6

IF YOU MAKE IT THIS FAR,  YOU WILL BE INVITED TO YOUR FIRST CLASS.  BY THIS TIME YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT MIND SET AND KNOW YOUR PROTOCOLS.

YOU WILL BE ON A ONE YEAR PROBATION.  FOR YOUR FIRST YEAR YOU WILL WORK BASICS EVERY CLASS.

NO FLASHY MOVES, JUST STANCES AND BASICS.  YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN A CLASS SHIRT OR BE CALLED A STUDENT.   AT THE END OF ONE YEAR, YOU WILL BE ASSESSED BY A BOARD OF SENSEI AND SENIORS.  YOUR EFFORT AND PROGRESS WILL BE GRADED.   MANY TIMES STUDENTS ARE EJECTED FOR LACK OF HEART.  IF YOU HAVE PROVEN YOURSELF, YOU WILL BE TESTED FOR YOUR FIRST RANK.  IF YOU PASS, YOU WILL BE GIVEN A SHIRT AND FORMALLY CONSIDERED A STUDENT.

HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR CONTINUED TRAINING.

YOU WILL CONSTANTLY BE TESTED,

BOTH IN CLASS AND OUT - GIVEN RANDOM EXAMS AND SO ON.

ANY FAILURE WILL BE GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL.

USUALLY BY THIS TIME THE STUDENT IS COMMITTED AND IS PART OF OUR FAMILY.   THE AMOUNT OF HEART SHOWN IS NOT USUALLY AN ISSUE AS SO MUCH HAS ALREADY BEEN SACRIFICED,  NO ONE WANTS TO LOSE THE TRAINING AND THEIR NEW BROTHERS

We look forward to hearing from you.
